Brandi Brown, DNP, FNP-BC

BluRoot Wellness was founded by Brandi Brown, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of diverse clinical and leadership experience across the healthcare spectrum.

Her journey in nursing began in 1998, earning her Associate Degree in Nursing in Petoskey, Michigan. Early in her career, she gained hands-on experience in oncology, medical-surgical care, home health, acute care, infection control, and staffing. She also served as an instructor for first aid, BLS, and Certified Nursing Assistants, while coordinating site-wide staff training and compliance programs.

In 2004, she relocated to California as a travel RN, expanding her clinical expertise across research psychiatry, med-surg, telemetry, post-acute inpatient rehabilitation, infection control, and correctional healthcare settings. By 2006, she advanced into leadership roles, managing interdisciplinary teams of RNs, LVNs, CNAs, MAs across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her leadership extended into specialty services, staffing, and large-scale training initiatives, including Train-the-Trainer (T4T) certification.

Driven to deepen her clinical impact, she returned to school in 2015, earning her Master of Science in Nursing with certification in Clinical Nurse Leadership, followed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in 2018. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

As an FNP-BC, she has provided care in urgent care, long-term care, and residential care settings for Veterans. She has also traveled extensively across the United States delivering in-home medical care—assessing and managing both acute and chronic conditions, reducing unnecessary emergency room visits, and supporting patients in remaining safely and comfortably at home, including during end-of-life care. In addition, she has led and mentored teams of nurse practitioners across the Pacific West, ensuring high-quality, coordinated care while training and developing new providers.

In 2024, she began her clinical focus on hormonal health, medical weight loss, and vitamin and peptide therapies—bringing together years of medical expertise with a personalized, root-cause approach to care.

She is licensed in both California and Michigan.
